PIERER Mobility Acquires FELT Bicycles Brand Bicycles

According to foreign media reports, as part of its strategy to become a global leader in the bicycle industry, PIERER Mobility AG announced the acquisition of FELT Bicycles and its integration into the PIERER E-Bikes GmbH division.

FELT Bicycles was established in California in 1991 and has a good reputation in manufacturing road bikes, triathlon bikes, track bikes, cross-country bikes, gravel bikes and adventure bikes. At FELT, innovation is crucial, especially in the development of carbon fiber technology, mountain bike suspension systems and racing aerodynamics.

The PIERER Mobility AG group has been successfully operating motorized two-wheeler brands such as KTM, Husqvarna Motorcycles and GASGAS. In 2019, Pierer established E-Bikes GmbH, focusing on the development of innovation, advanced technology and leading design for the bicycle market. The acquisition of PIERER E-Bikes GmbH will continue to build a high-quality bicycle brand portfolio. FELT Bicycles formally joins the Husqvarna E-Bicycles, GASGAS and R Raymon portfolios.

It also said that the acquisition of FELT Bicycles includes three parts: the acquisition of FELT brand assets, the company's assets in Europe and North America, and the integration of global labor into the team structure of PIERER E-Bikes GmbH.

Felt Bicycles is currently distributed by VDW Bikes in the Benelux and will continue to do so in the near future. The transition from Rossignol to Pierer will be completed at the end of February. Currently, Felt distributors will not be affected by any orders.
